Different disciplines around one experience.
Our team brought together engineering, design, psychology and business backgrounds. The deck credits me as Technical Architect; my work also included discovery, prototyping and the final pitch.
02 / Problem
Make expression easier to begin.
The concept responded to a gap between what a child experiences, what a parent can observe and what a therapist sees during a session. We explored whether drawing could create a more approachable starting point for expression.
03 / What I did
Name. Express. Reflect.
We framed a sequence around naming, expressing and reflecting on feelings. The concept paired guided drawing with a companion character, then proposed ways to revisit patterns with parents and therapists.
The challenge was connecting an inviting activity with useful context for the adults around it. The prototype and pitch made those relationships concrete enough to discuss.

Track Winner and Audience Choice at Ross +Tech Innovation Jam.
ARTiculate was a track winner at Michigan Ross’s +Tech Innovation Jam and received the $1,000 Audience Choice award for the team’s product concept.

The first interaction is part of the product strategy. Technical feasibility matters only if the person being invited into the experience understands why they would begin.
